Sounds like there will be limited availability this year, exact cost will depend on brake width, but most common MSRPs are

$599.00 for the 5-10 DIN (the “10? model)
$649.00 for the 6-13 DIN (the “11? model)

http://www.mec.ca/shop/snowsports-alpine-touring/50006+50211/?h=10+50006+50210

which are [HTML_REMOVED] the dynafit beast and not really out of line with the rest of the tech touring bindings

I see the Dynafit FT has gone up to 629$ for a DIN12 binding (!) I think the G3 ION at 499$ for a DIN 12 tech binding will be the BIG winner this year its still early in the products life but I would give them a try if I needed a tech binding

looks like the best entry to the new pintech bindings by far. just hope its durable. its going to suck putting a second set of holes in my new touring skis for the kings after someone else tests them for a year.

I have heard rumors so it wouldn't suprise me one bit if Salomon announced a tech binding pretty soon, for skiers its always good to have more options

I already got a rad and vert mounted and another set of verts just sitting in the box (smokin deal!) so I am pretty much on the Dynafit program myself and happy enough.

U may know then. I have ft12's and a new wider touring ski(116 underfoot), ready to be mounted. I went a little wider than I normally would for a touring ski with the lighter weight of praxxis' new ultra light core. I thought I'd use a crampon when the skin track is bullet proof. Never used a ski crampon but a split board friend throws his on in seconds and works like a charm. Can you get a ski crampon for ft's to fit a 116 ski or will I need a radical or atleast rad toe?

yup the dynafit crampons ^^ will slide right into that slot behind the toe piece on rads or verts

I have 110 mm crampons for my 108 mm stokes btw the ski/crampon clearance is tight and you can't really bend them for clearance

I figured no way i would need anything wider and suddenly there was a lotus 120 in the quiver SO if I was you I would get the 130mm crampons … just incase

ok cool. I was thinking there was a different crampon for each and the ft crampons didn't go as wide but there might be an alternative or aftermarket crampon. in that case i'll just keep the ft's. looks like the reviews on the mec link echo your suggestion on width(go wider). they're a lil forward of narrowest part of waist 130 might also fit my protests 128mm waist as well. looks like very limited production of the kingpin in the first yr

Aftermarket^^ source of crampons and lots of cool stuff, their leashes are a great idea if you wana go brakeless

yeah limited production and see what the average user breaks, Dynafit did that with the Beast16 last year … YOU are the beta tester
