I'm a pretty casual skier - only been riding for about 3 years (out West at least) and probably ride like 10-15 days a year (Cypress/Whistler). Looking to get some new bindings for my Movement Baggy's (102mm underfoot). I weigh about 185 without gear and ride primarily off-piste but I am still only about a high intermediate I would say so not doing anything too crazy just riding relatively steep in-bounds terrain - just looking for a binding that won't pop off in the wrong situations. Would the Marker Griffon be sufficient?

Older Pivot 12's will be fine. I like the rotational rear bail out.
Know your DIN and get a binding that covers your range.
what he said^^^ just get a binding that will accommodate your DIN setting somewhere in the middle of its range
They all work pretty much the same if you are looking for an alpine binding. Ones like the look pivot or fks bindings are lighter
I like the Tyrolia/Head products the best, if I were buying new bindings, I would get a Tyrolia/Head FreeFlex design, most elastic travel (less pre-release issues). These are a product mainly in the race market, but they are still the best design in my humble opinion.
Disclaimer: I work mounting, testing and calibrating bindings, so my opinion is biased to what I see and work with (all makes and models, from every company, I have worked with the new Knee Binding and go back as far as mounting the new Salomon 737).
