Since the snow is dumping up there thought I'd toss up the official thread.

Conditions look good so far, lots of guys have been hiking up / boarding down. Snow coverage is good with 60cm by this morning and it was puking up there most of the day.

Looking like good results from our recent Ullr sacrifices.

Yeah dude Ive been noticing.. wooooooo! I love it up there. ive always boarded on northshore/whis and around there, while they are nice mountains I find the snow to be bit too wet.

Just moved over here during last winter, mt washy has a drier climate I think. Can't wait to start boardin!

well - good thing was - before it started to rain they had 60cm more snow - it will nicely compact now should cool down overnight and for the next few days.

Will make for a solid base once it's all frozen up.

^^^true that, went up on monday and it was soo sunny there was a nice amount of snow. Hopefully it just compacts and stays around to make a permanent base.

ps. Will Troup, please lay off the goodguy/idiot scheme you run here.

If Washington opens early I'll eat my hat. When was the last time they even opened as scheduled! This is awesome.

better get ready to eat it! - there is plenty enough snow to open this weekend, the groomers are packing the runs, the weather is showing more snow all week.

I've setup a new page for a selection of snow condition links for the island here.

Nice page. Does Mt Wash still do the free-opening-day thing? I remember cutting coupons out of the times colonist when I was in high school, something like that.
