Bad week to be a desk jockey, plus I'm working on the island so can't even contemplate sick day shenanigans.

Looks like the next one is coming in warm and wet :(. Maybe alpine will be ok on Saturday… if not it's time for moar biking.

Anyone on the mountain today - what is the snow quality like from this last dump over the past 2 days?

alpine still closed, peak stayed below freezing for the cycle, roundhouse just above for most of it….

hope this isn't the beginning of the end, rain/snow mix at 1700m today with some warmer weather on it's way. Oh well, it's been good so far.

Now it's time to take a holiday on the coast to go biking for a few weeks while this pattern sorts itself out

Also you felt the ice layer on certain aspects as well as treeline and below. Alpine and north facing was pretty damn good though.

Desk jockeying the weather hard right now as I debate taking tomorrow off, almost up to 0C at Roundhouse :(

Saturday looks good.

Totally sucked at Washy this morning… snowed about a foot between the snow report and the lifts opening…was snowing 1-2 cm / hr when I left at 11 am. Got first chair on the Sunrise and first tracks down Ricks Ride. Woot!

Whistler was good yesterday, although it warmed up by noon and you had to stay on north aspects to find snow in the PM. Weekend looks good yet again.

still rocking in the kootenays although its warming up alot, I think we're at 35cm over the past few days. We did two 700m laps in conservative terrain yesterday and you could just feel the crust from a few days prior at around 1300m if you were really trying.

As far as the ski hill, looked pretty bombed out by about 10am, poor bastards who don't tour are still making the most of it though.

Best of both worlds right now though, heading out for an afternoon bike ride in a few :)
