The harder 1/2 of the chair runs opened at HBM last weekend and it was pretty good, the easier 1/2 of the runs are being still being logged which is gona open up a lot of new terrain

Usually the week before Xmas is slow- people getting ready for holiday. 24th is always the best day for no crowds.
People always ask me what's the phenomenon
Yo what's up? Yo what's goin' on- Adam Yauch
Yesterday was awesome on Blackcomb! Crystal cracked with NO lineup, great spankys turns. Love it! Let's keep this season rolling.
Dammit I am such a gear nerd, what Elan ski is that? No matching ski currently on the website. Tips not the same shape as the Spectrum series. Looking like a Boomerang but a touch narrower judging from the width of the bindings vs the ski. Yes I am a certified gear nerd.
Don't see many Elan's around locally. No more G3?
These are some new test skis…called the ripstix be out next season, they ski very nice and I am liking them despite their length of 181cm which is a tad long for me. Got some sweet set ups for the backcountry and also for the hill. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It was still very deep out there today but more dense due to the huge amount of snow. Stepping off the sled was waist deep, but it was hard to penitrate that deep.

this is a great observation. when ski penetration is shallow but boot penetration is deep it is a sign that the upper storm snow is consolidating faster then the snow below it. also known an "upside Down". it can be caused by a few factors unrelated to the amount of snow that has fallen. no matter what the cause is it tends to be a red flag.
Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.
Interesting to note, Norona was that up at Brohm ridge?
Shredding hypothetical gnarr
Yup over 5 feet in the last week, has fallen at at consistent temp and snow pack is very solid up there right now and has bonded well, we are definitely lucky on the coast. Hit the hill today and it was a bit busy and groomers were wicked, back in the backcountry tomorrow for some deep pow! The colder weather is keeping it awesome!!! Merry Christmas!!

Amazing day on Whistler, pretty much no lineups, deep surprisingly light snow, and sunshine. Plenty of knee deep turns right to the last run of the day, can't get over how much fun it was haha

big time, first chair peak was saweeeeet! I just love that type of low density snow, push into your turn just a bit and BOOOOOSH overhead awesomeness!
You guys can just fuck off.
