Lived in Whistler during the last one.
Snowed all winter.
Will be epic everywhere except anything under 1500 meters.

:rave:

This is surprising. The freezing level was 1600-2000m for most of the storms last year if my memory serves.

you mustn't ski much.
rain to 3000m x 2.
wind press, crust from hell all season.

Epic was epic.

For sure less then most years, only 50 days.

I'll be the first to say it's been a few years since we had a good season, in fact I'm still wondering why i dropped cash on a pass this year but if you want good snow DON'T show up for coldsmoke expecting the best.
I can't remember a single year in the past 7-8 that we haven't had mashed potatos during that weekend plus you get stuck riding a tiny ski hill with a million tourists, so even if we had good snow it's tracked out in less than a few hours. Good days at whitewater=weekday mornings when the tourists are at ahome and that's about it. weekends, holidays etc have gone to shit with the influx of vacationers we've had over the past few years

should be a decent riding season bit muddy. i had a pass at cypress, whistler and blackhomb for the 97/98 season. those were some snowy good times.

14-day outlook for Whistler is showing cooling off and precipitation that could be in the form of snow mid-station on up. We will see.

I was biking in shorts and a t-shirt very comfortably in Coquitlam yesterday. The sun actually felt hot when it came out around 3pm.
