you guys hiked goats?

i dont know the mountain that well, but i wouldnt call it a "hike"

we hiked up the peak then went down the backside through some valley - pretty sick back there

but like i said i dont know the mountain that well so i dont know names sorry

takes me back to the old days of hiking the peak before the put in the chair

i feel for the poor bugger who made the initial trek up that bowl in 2' of powder though.

but when he had the ONLY track down the bowl till 10:30am, i bet it was worth it.

From your pic it looks like you hiked to the top of Shale slope not the actual top of the Peak. That back valley you refer to is Doom and Gloom.

You should pick up a copy of the Advanced/Expert guide.

yeah my cousin was talking about some doom and gloom (he knows the mtn) but like i said, i dont know myself.

you're right, we didnt get all the way to the PEAK, but it was close :P

people ain't got no patience these days, or they just don't give a rats ass about their bases….the snow is coming, its a long season….

yeah, the goat path was really good that day… In fact you could do the whole thing without taking your skis off, I think I've always had to take my skis off to climb it. Great conditions though.

It's not too early at all, and the coverage was awesome, of course it's going to be a long season, so why not get started now!!??
