But still pretty fun. And no lineups, no competition for lines, no tourists…

It's powderking! And there is already a 2+m base. Yesterday had over 60cm waiting for us and the other 30 people in northern BC who decided to go skiing/boarding on a friday…

All those peaks in the background of the shot on the chair lift look very enticing…

I've been there once, it was a fun place to go boarding. however it was pretty damn cold, and blowing hard. They closed the hill the next day due to the freezing. The powerline section when the lift goes through was so bad. -35C + a pretty strong wind! there were no lineups though!

I been to PK at -37C the untouched pow will actualy be too slow/abrassive to ski and everyone will stay on piste even tho the pow is right there

the arctic front seems to cycle up [HTML_REMOVED] down thru the area between PeeG [HTML_REMOVED] Dawson creek …makes for really bad driving

we got 1.5 meters over here …great start to the season

Too bad they don't show the 5 day total, eh? Hill is closed mid-week. NegReps.

Wasn't waist deep anywhere in that video either.

Yeah the hill is closed monday-weds. And nobody goes up there thursday/friday, so there is lots of pow to be had. I think the video is enough proof of the snow depth…lol. And that was all right on the main runs ALL DAY! 15 runs of fresh tracks to be exact

And weather permitting, I might go check a bit of that out this weekend. Not quite enough coverage yet though I don't think, although there looks to be some nice treeline chutes to send down to the valley floor. The access to skin up there (the hart range I think its called?) is super exposed. If you ever want to have a good old fashioned overhead hazard to ski under, thats the place

Lotsa snow in the trench and around Williston

Beware though,I've seen a few slips that went right down to dirt as well as some pretty hoary mornings befor the last storm cycle
