fully programmable both with the key pad and with a computer. these are the ones we use at work. so I have not personally programmed one, my personal radio is different. radios are key to not getting killed on logging roads. also having a talk channel (ie a frequency not used locally) so you and your group can communicate with each other with out walking all over the road channel, or the local catski or heli ski ops is nice.

Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.

k thanks again. JD too. thought that was the case. make sure before I pull the trigger

you should compare it to the wouxun KG-UVD1P first. They are cheap a good size and have great range. Either would work but the Wouxun has worked great for me.

only 35 but still beat the 30-39 BC cup Champion 4 out of 6 races

One Watt only?

Way better off in the back country with one of these, a 5 watt version garmin rhino from the states.
Being able to see your buddies on the map is a godsend in bad light days.

we have the same at work and like you just haven't programmed them. they're preprogrammed for highway repeaters and a couple "ladd" channels for closer distance communication. ordered one. go with what you know I guess. should be perfect for my usage. can stealthly listen in to work on my days off too
