I'm beginning to wonder and I've been pretty MEC loyal.

Ugh, sad state of affairs in there these days (I live near the Broadway store in Vancouver). I still find it hilarious they are selling Intense bikes.

Metro Equipment Coop?

I wouldnt modify the beta ar. Go for a cheapie 2nd jkt. The beta ar will also get less use and last longer so its a wash in the end.

are you lift skiing? IME I can ski lifts in practicaly anything as long as it keeps me warm

https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5044-736/Steepside-Jacket

so I bought a new MEC lift skiing jacket 40% off for only 159$

touring is different and I go all soft shell

so this^^ one just came in the mail, I'm 5'8" 33inch sleeve so I got the medium, it has a roomy fit, cut pretty long and has a VERY skookum powder skirt with a 4 snap closure and a rubberized strip to keep it from riding up the ass of your pants SO I could never see your ass or back getting cold or even any snow getting past the skirt when you fall in the snow

On one side an inner goggle pocket/ on the other side a big inner breast pocket/ 2 outer breast pockets/ 2 big hand pockets, zippers are good enough looking quality, pit zippers with cloth backing when open/ big hood but not big enough for a helmet, I ran some water over the fabric of the sleeve and it beaded off so probably some kind of gortex like knock-off, the brown color is fugly [HTML_REMOVED] boring but so what … we are here to ski

I don't think it was worth its original price but at only 159$ its not a bad deal and with all the features it should be perfect for lapping the O-zone … I am gona keep it
