Revy is my fave.
Stay at the Revelstoke lodge, it's a decent motel in town about 100 a night which is good for peak season skiing if ya wanna go budget accom.

Kicking Horse is good too, Whitewater also good. Always depends on Snow conditions.

One person. Ski from lodging whoopee but no more than a free shuttle please no car rentals will be tolerated! ; )

Yah I been to Kicking Horse, been Wh20 twice for smoke got cement which is why I chose not to wait until 3rd wk in Feb. this time.

So thinking I can wait/watch weather a wk lookin' @ Revy/Hudson/SunPeak (where I can get lost every day). Was at Red once in "spring" cond. though it'd be good with snow but seems convoluted getting there plus my thinkings trending north hedging weather outcomes.

If you are going to fly then shuttle stay on hill the easiest would be, Sunpeaks, Big White, and Apex being closest to airports.
Dunno about flying direct to Revy, don't think that is happening just yet, have to fly into Kelowna and shuttle there?
The further away from large populations, the lighter the crowds during the week.

Yeah $198 return I thinking shorter lift lines @ Revy than others, don't really know. Already been Whiteout/SS so.........are the trees in those glades either side of the chair in North Bowl spaced or is it a case of tree well terror?

I was in Revy from Dec 18-22.
It was all good to go, no treewells, will be even better now.
Long range looks good for everywhere.
Great time to take a ski trip, just avoid the family day holiday if possible.

Not to derail the thread - but since we are talking about tree wells, what differentiates an area that is prone to tree wells vs. one that isn't? I'm a relatively new skier and tree wells scare the crap out of me. Would like to get more educated on the topic.

At the risk of being a sarcastic captain obvious its skiing in areas  with coniferous trees which is pretty much everywhere in BC  whereas Japan was all deciduous so no tree wells and you could pretty much tour anywhere

Well we rolled the dice, booked a place for 4 days at Mount Cain this weekend. Weather has turned  to shit with super high freezing levels.

Trips off, super bummer.

That's skiing......
