little too early to bring out the powder couch. road side turnes are the call for early season. not in the area full time, but ill be hunting monashees powturns as often as conditions and work life permit.

did some sniffing around yesterday. seems like a few people are staring to piece together some of the zones we have had to our selves in the past. wind effected on most open slopes, still some nice powder hanging out in the trees. played a winning hand of powder poker though.

NICE!!

Nice shots! People are definitely getting out to the further corners more often. Although saying that, we found a line last year a couple of valleys east that very rarely gets seen by the touring crowd. Personally, I'd just like to get back on talk show ridge, or whatever you call it, and drop into a run up there one day.

Not quite first turns, but my boy's second day out. First day was touring, Sunday was lift-served, but we still hiked a couple laps into Harmony area. This is coming through the Camel Humps. Crappy cell phone shot and small human.

Yesterday was fan-fucking-tastic, so good in fact we couldn't stop to take photos! 675m verticals with blower to the bottom :)
65cm's in less than 3 days followed by sun and cold temps = good times/sore legs. Avy conditions are very touchy at the moment though..

We're not getting much around here, looks like …4cms total in the next week :(

Last weekend was great, but went back to the same place on tuesday and found a very firm wind crust everywhere so that wasn't too much fun

yeah what pretty much always happens is snow blows in from the sw into the lee slope which is all the runs that you see from your house, the further over from the chair line out into the O-zone the more wind deposition so real snow is usually as good or better than what the hill snow phone sez

its been fucking wet/warm/windy and then today it got cold which would dry out the snow pack

we skinned over from the main P-lot and did 4 runs … -12/blue bird/no wind/scrotum deep

this is more like what we normally see this time of year … not that gloppy shit
