Dry cleaning

So I got sick of the various chairs at Whis puking oil on my gear so I went and asked what the deal was. They offered to dry clean my stuff.

Is there some way for the dry cleaners not to ruin my tech wear? Sounds like crazy talk.

No!

Don't do it.

Don't dryclean Goretex. Use dishsoap on the outer material and then Techwash in the washing machine, hot water and dryer (depending on the washing instructions of the outer layer).

Had the Blackcomb Gondola grease on my orange suit before. Tech wash just lightened the grease smear.

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Total side noteā€¦

but when you are re-DWRing your gear, Instead of washing it into the gear into the machine, put a capful in a bucket, fill it up with warm water and just let your jacket soak in the bucket for 1/2 a day. Take it out, let it hang dry, then toss it in the dryer on low.

100% better than any other method I've tried.
