Just got this email from Cypress.

Cypress Mountain is very excited to announce we will be opening for the 2014/15 Season this Saturday morning!

Our "Best in the Business" Snowmaking Crew and our exceptional Grooming Team will have "top to bottom" Skiing and Riding ready on Upper Fork down through Lower Jasey Jay. As well, The Skate Park will be open with 4 features and we're looking to also squeeze in a jump on tonight's build - stay tuned to our website for details tomorrow.

We'll open Eagle Express Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM - 3:30 PM for Intermediate and Expert Skiers and Riders only - we're making snow on Easy Rider and will let you know our progress on a daily basis.

The Guest Relations Office, Rental Shop, Big Bear Sports, The Cypress Creek Grill and the Crazy Raven Bar [HTML_REMOVED] Grill are all scheduled to open Saturday morning at 9 AM - be sure to take this opportunity to buy your Season Pass on-mountain this weekend and get in some early season turns!

With the Most Lifts, Biggest Terrain, and Biggest variety of Winter Sports in Vancouver, Cypress Mountain is your Best bet to have fun in the Snow this Winter - "You'll Love it up Here".

Don't think I have rock snowsliding tools, unless I count snowshoes anymore

Judging from the conditions on Grouse, unfortunately I don't think the locals will make it past this system. Sure hope I can use my Cypress pass this year!

I did not. My skiing days are at a low right now. Too many bikes and places to ride yet, and I'm not getting bored anytime soon. Plus that few hundy is better served in the savings fund with this weather.

Skychair opening today for a few hours. Uploading [HTML_REMOVED] downloading required to get there, though. Local mountains struggling for coverage.

How terrible are the conditions up there? Is it a wet slopping mess?
