to have more than one day with sun in February was quite pleasant. didn't we go a month or two last year without seeing it?

i made the best of it :)

these pics are from a few different days …

this is just as the clouds are rolling back in. taken from Eagle Bluff on Black. it started snowing on us after this!

the low cloud/fog that hung over Vancouver didn't come into Howe Sound … taken from St Marks.

the next 3 are a sunset from top of Black

Howe Sound and Anvil Island from the South end of Mt Unnecessary.

the same, but skiing-related this time.

low clouds trying to make their way into Howe Sound … you could see them ripping in. from St Marks again.

next two are just a sunset from Strachan. couldn't decide which format was better i posted them both.

Might as well get in on the picture sharing…

Went for a quick lap of 1st Peak with a couple of the little ones on Seymour Sunday afternoon. Some crust on the southern aspects but nice snow on all other slopes.

Snow ghosts on the west face

Another shot from the west face looking towards Brockton

Enjoying the view after getting a face full of snow

yeah there's some massive cornices out there. i only went to the South peak of Unnecessary as the North peak gets a little more interesting:

the way up the North peak is just to the left of that patch of trees … right on the edge of the cornice …

you wouldn't really want to be up there in whiteout conditions!

Yeah from Sunday. Sunday was amazing with surprisingly short lineups.

Hope you don't mind me biting your pic and posting it!

That cornice is defying nature; wouldn't take much…

Great shots everyone.

x2 on the unreal place comment.
