Cheapest whistler day passes

I know there used to be a ton of places to get discount tickets around town/on the way there, but all the ones I'm familiar with have dried up. Did Vail axe all these, or are there still ways to avoid paying door price for single days?

Correct.  You have to buy them before November something.  If you know someone who has a pass they'll have some 25% and 50% off coupons.

Why?  Going to try and sell them?  You don't go to Whistler...

That is ridiculous.  $189 at the window, and a 'bargain' at $174 online!  What I really like is how the website says 'only $174 more' if you buy 2.  They don't even give a discount for buying multiple days online at once. Im not sure how families (or anyone for that matter) can hope to afford a day out skiing.

We did that a few years ago. Anyone have any idea how they are doing with the new ownership and eye-watering pricing? Are they doing better/worse than before the new owners?

Cypress Mtn. is spending money to attract those people. The biggest of the 3 shore hills, a reasonable price & they have invested in snow making equipment.

It's the worst of all worlds.

I can't bring casual friends up when it's shit to average conditions because it's fucking stupid expensive, and because the seasons passes are "cheap" the good days to slide are as busy as ever.

Fuck Vail.

If you do walk up & pay that premium price, you'd want the conditions to be primo.
