I use the mesh for storage on G3, BD and Pomoca with no problems, its not good if the skins get too hot during the summer

its pretty easy to scrape off the old glue with a heat gun [HTML_REMOVED] putty knife and then ironing in the new glue really gives you a nice looking job you can google instruction [HTML_REMOVED] vids to do it

sometimes you can fix the old glue by just reheating it

yeah that's the ticket; if you already have in bounds bindings you can use them with that kit, even swap them back and forth between the resort board and the split if you don't ride all the time. My friend used them for a few years before getting Karakorams and when he switched over, didn't notice much of a difference except that the Karakorams were lighter. MEC used to carry the same package you posted a link for, don't know if they do anymore but looks like you found a good deal anyways

Didn't see that setup at MEC so I ended up buying off Dogfunk, also got a probe for 45% off. Now just looking for Voile or G3 skins, an avy transceiver and a shovel.

Just wait and go to the turkey sale for bacon and probe.

I just managed to pick up a used DTS tracker for $100, I'm sure it will do me fine for entry lvl backcountry adventures once I do my ATS 1.

What is recommended for probes, shovels etc guys?

The sneakiest find at the Turkey Sale was a small plastic bin at Summit downstairs under the goggle table, labelled "40% off". Filled with G3 high traction skins in legit sizes and widths.

Yeah, it pretty well looks brand new. The guy had just upgraded to a new pieps transceiver through a pro deal, because his gf is the AST instructor around here. She will actually be my instructor when I get around to doing it.

I still hope you test it. I bought a used beacon once, and it sent out all sorts of weird signals (multiple signals, would increase [HTML_REMOVED] decrease range quite rapidly while stationary).

Managed to pick up the rest of my gear from access backcountry for about 35% off. All the things ran me around $1100, which I think is pretty decent. bring on the snow!

I wouldn't buy a used beacon but I supose its better than no beacon, I hope whatever you got was at least a digital, around here and I think almost all guides will give you one of their digitals to use if you show up to their operation with yer old analog, I kept my F1 for a spare and for practise … I wouldn't sell an old beacon

go for a 320cm probe and a shovel with aluminium blade

I could use a better shovel ^^I might get one of these
