Assuming you want a big base then South Kootenays WW etc are not it.

Rogers Pass and Revelstoke area are it.

Farther north - Smithers, Terrace area are it.

what lee sez ,if you got no money revy is relatively cheap both to get to and to stay at once you are there AND if you have the ability to tour you can save $$ on lift tickets by touring in rogers pass.

quality wise I would rate revy a cut above any ski area I have skied in BC and touring in the pass is fantastic … you can hit some great lines walking out the back of the p-lot at the glacier park lodge .

I just got back from a medical confrence /banff/rogers pass trip and it would hve been nice to tack on a few days at revy but we ran out of time

smithers [HTML_REMOVED] terrace is a long fucking way from everywhere to get to and really they are just small local hills with a chair and a T ALTHO you COULD get away without a car in smithers if you flew in

Near Sandpoint Idaho

(Years ago I went there to ski but only got 2 runs as my buddy ran over his brother breaking his collar bone. That resulted in a quick trip back across the border to get medical attention in Creston.)

If I do this trip solo, touring is probably out of the question…

Inbounds is where I'll be.

The shitty part is I gotta crank up the snow blower and do 2 or 3 driveway's

I suggest if you make it thru williams lake call up red shred the worlds coolest bike store and see if he is going out touring on a monday or sunday

we stopped there on the way back from rogers pass to locktite a loose screw in the heel of my buddies freerides , had a coffee hung [HTML_REMOVED] out … and left 300$ poorer with a new pair of soft shells pants nobody else has in stock

good place for deals and red has alot of good stuff
