I had the proto a lot last year, it does not, cools the exact same…the front heat exchanger is not smaller, it was on the prototype but after the first day of testing they knew it could not be half the size…..they did not change it for the prototypes since they were out, and the rear cooler is half the size as before but the rear does all the work. It does not overheat more than a 154 or 163 with 2.5 and those can overheat on super bullet proof snow if it is whooped out….
After 900k on mine, it does over-heat more. The stock scratchers do nothing.
I agree the stock new scratchers can be better, however I have had zero issues cooling the 174, however u need to learn how to cool it with stock scratchers, you need to have speed about 65km is where the magic starts. Rode 50km into the Hurley today and held 4 bars most of the way , went to five but was playing with it to figure the ideals.
