Agreed. Its been awhile since I've had a legitimate first chair and fresh tracks on a powder day. Cypress and mother nature delivers!

Bring chains/4wd if headed up, I had to strap em on today. I saw an Acura TL in the ditch. Not to worry though, I think it was leased.

What a difference a couple days make. That section at the bottom of Collins has filled in nicely. Saw an SUV in the ditch tonite [HTML_REMOVED] it was below the snow line. A little icy. (Edit; Forgot to mention thanks to the nice lady who gave my son her pass as she was leaving the hill).

According to police, 26 year old Vancouver man is dead after falling 3 meters into a creek while backcountry skiing near Cypress. Anyone know? Thoughts go out to the family.

Cypress last night. Cypressesy conditions not much snow at the bottom, sharp edges needed where the snow has been scubbed off elsewhere. Didn't ski anything that hadn't been groomed.

Things should be improving with the snow they're getting this week. I'm thinking of checking it out on Friday.

I'm heading up tonight to check how awful it is…15cms recorded today and still snowing. Gross.

You guys should all stay home.

I'm thinking of heading up tonight after work.
Do I bring rock skis or the daily drivers?

Coverage is fine on the groomed. Once you get off the groomed runs (on either side of the 2 lower chairs) you may run into the occasional tree, stump or partially buried creek. Up on Sky Chair, things are covered, but not filled in yet (IE: keep those knees bent!)

Really good riding last night! It was snowing really hard, despite it being warm.

The update says the groomers did all the main runs overnight, so with the new snow hopefully the holes/creeks will be filled and we can then start enjoying fresh snow on top of a solid base.
