Anyone know how much snow is at the 4th switchback/cabin road/pre-reaper parking lot?

Something measured in meters.

No worry about not enough snow at that elevation for a snowshoe walk.

Around 2 meters I would say.

Was up last night, icy dicy everywhere and will be for the next week.

Clunking is for retards.

pouring rain to the top - on top of the 6"+ of snow earlier in the day = concrete sploodge.

The next week should be pretty good for icy groomers!

And the following week will probably have plenty of slippy slab formations in the slack country!

kn.

Thanks, was just curious where the snow line was with the warm temps. [HTML_REMOVED] rain over the last couple of days.

If I had to guess I'd say firehose would be snow free pretty close to the road.

Dust on ice there today, groomers are kinda fun.

I tried the Katal landing pad today, it's worth a go I'd say. I gained confidence doing a trick I've wanted to dial for years. Get the unlimited pass ($15) and hike up. Most people try flips because the takeoff is lippy. I had some pretty gnarly crashes and I'm not sore at all.

I was asking about snow conditions for snowshoeing.

Groomers are fast as fuck, its pretty much sure death to wander off them though.

I'm heading up in an hour or so to get some of the fresh that fell over the last 2 days. I'll try to get back on a update tonight when I get back.

It was good.
Everything from blue skies to heavy snow - all within 10 minutes.
Snow was OK. Some had been groomed to the point it had become icey. Some of the stuff off Raven was crud: heavy, wet powder with ice underneath, all chewed to hell.
That said Horizon and Rainbow on Lions was great, as was just about everything to the west of Eagles Chair.
Overall, well worth it

Cyps reports 18cm this morning. Anyone up there?

Up last night and the fresh snow was a little bit sticky, but not too heavy. Still not quite enough fresh stuff as I was hitting the ice layer underneath on some of the steeper runs. Spent a lot of time up off sky chair and it was pretty fun in the trees. Overall, not to shabby. Heading up again tonight.:rocker:

On hill intel says there's plenty of fresh but it's heavy. I would be up but I'm on the injured list with busted kneecaps.
