Nancy’s speech has done fuck all.

She needs to tell everyone south of Whistler they will be murdered if they venture north. And even then, we will probably need to kill 20 different groups before people stop coming in powder days.

If you’re coming up tomorrow, let me know. I’m going in early.

Other than Jan 18th when it snowed 58cm overnight and they had to do AC on the lower mountain and delayed upload by 90 minutes, I haven't found lines that bad this year and I'm mostly a weekend warrior.  Lines felt worse last year, I feel like numbers are down. I am fine with this as a passholder.

That Sunday was miserable. We cut bait and left.
And give Vail/Whistler their due, they honoured all tickets that day with full refunds which was more than I expected.

So I scored ridiculous powder 6 days later.

Is Whistler having any sort of family day discounts? I can't see any... I didn't get an edge card this year and can't stomach the daily lift ticket prices this year...

No 5 day edge cards next year. Full FMITGA next year to everyone local who built the place up.

This announcement about the Epic Schoolkids program (5 free days for kids in K-5) says there will be 5-day cards next year....

"Whistler Blackcomb’s 5-Day EDGE Card offers parents ideal complementary access for exploring the mountain together as a family. Exclusively available to residents of Canada and Washington state, the 5-Day EDGE Card provides skiers and snowboarders with five days of access to Whistler Blackcomb during the 2018-19 season at CAD$419 (adult), with holiday restrictions, or CAD$459 (adult) for unrestricted access."

Sure, the kid gets to ski for free, but it's going to cost the parents $800-$900 to join them.

5 and 10 day EDGE cards are available for purchase as well as WB Unlimited and Epic passes for next year, so the rumours were false.

Pretty decent. That said, I haven't been up since it got hot these last couple of days.

Yeah this past week really messed things up.  Last Tuesday the GF and I were out playing in the snow.  Ended up down to ski pants for the both of us.

Anyway, her plan is to get some snowshoeing in whilst I hit up the slopes.

Heading up tomorrow for the day.  Unsure which side I'll hit.
