Hey All,

I am going to Cumberland/Comox to visit family this weekend. I have never ridden on the Island although I know there is very good riding. Planning on ridding Forbidden or Cumberland. What bike do you recommend? I am between taking my Reign or my Tallboy. I enjoy every type of riding and will be happy on either bike, just wondering if trails are like loops or if its a ride up a road then down a trail.

Thanks.

Cumberland, was there with some friends in mid-April. Range of bikes in the group, one HT 29er, couple of 5[HTML_REMOVED]5 and a couple of 6[HTML_REMOVED]6, everybody was happy. Bring something you can pedal, very much like Fromme in terms of variety.

Bring the lighter bike. Ride to the top, ride down, repeat.

either one. You can ride up roads and down some challenging trails, or climb singletrack and take mellower trails down. Personally, I'd do the latter on the TB just cuz we do the up-down thing a lot around here. Stay outta courtenay though - i hear they're hardcore racist ;)

Hahahaha.. Depends on what you ride!

But yes, stick with the lighter bike. More laps equals more fun!

I ride Cumberland and Forbidden. In Cumberland I'd prefer a XC bike. In Forbidden I'd prefer a DH bike. I take my AM bike :)
