okay im kidding it wasnt me…

i noticed bob stanhope wrote into the paper about the people who screwed up the race markers, also we spotted a note at the top of gnome 1 month ago saying that the trail would be returned to a hiker trail..

really the only changes that have been made to that trail since i moved to the coast 6.5 yrs ago was the stuff done on that one trail day and then waht got done for the filming this year..

not really a huge dealio, but it does show there are other users on the mtn who dont always appreciate the work of mtn bikers. thats why its important to leave multi use trails as are, and only do drainage and clearing on these trails in event of blow down etc… personally i dont really see the changes on gnome being a big deal..just poorly thought out.

i think if we keep spending money berming up trails like blk twr and ignoring drainage issues all over the hill we will get more feedback from the various user groups.

drainage was also done on black tower, not just berms, now it is way less of a mucky mess on the sections that are not park land.for it to be bone dry at this time of year shows the good work that was done there.
we tried to drain 103 and it proved futile.plans are in the works to do it proper soon.

on another note, the mess left by the outfit logging in guys gulch will be 100 percent rebuilt.seeing as the operator has machines he will be putting them to work to rebuild the damage he has done.im sure no one will complain about another smooth bermy/rhythm/jump trail to ride down to the dh…

does anyone know of any tour guides looking for a builder from the UK to show around on the coast midweek? I've got one staying at our place now, but he's wearing me out with all the riding we've been doing.

Was the meshed ladder ramp over the log that's been there since April 2000 removed?
