Ride suggestion: scenic daytrip ride in the Chilcotins

Looking for suggestions for a scenic daytrip loop or out and back ride in the Chilcotins.

I'll be sleeping in the bed of my truck. Ideally the ride starts/ends at a spot to spend the night.

Suggestions?

Easiest way to get to the subalpine [HTML_REMOVED] alpine, Taylor Basin: Past the cabin, Taylor Pass, Pearson trail to Camel Pass, back down past the cabin, back to the TH. Effectively a popsicle ride, although the popsicle is triangle shaped.

No reason you couldn't camp at the TH, although there is no water right there.

It has been a few years but I've seen vehicles parked farther up the doubletrack right beside the creek where the original bridge was washed out years ago.

you want the south chilcotin map. Chilko is a different area.

Yes, but his posts are very cryptic. If someone has never been up there, he doesn't necessarily give you enough location to ride the same trail.

True - you actually have to look at the map, but knowing a route goes and reading his reports for a gauge of how hard the ride is very useful.

Thanks again! I may head up for a few days next week…usually a nice time to be out since the kids are back in school…but maybe not this year???
