I'm in Sacramento, have a car, and have to drive to SFO tomorrow night, where can I rent a decent MTB and go for a ride.

Google isn't being all that helpful..

I've seen:

where else?

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

Google 'Blazing Saddles'

All the tourists rent from them. I'm sure they have a few decent MTB's for rent.

Water Dog Lake Park in Belmont (Ralston Ave) is a nice easy neighbourhood ride - spend a couple hours.

Soquel Demo Forest is another easy to find place

This shop was pretty good, but they don't say anything about rentals. They do quite a few demo days though.

Yeah the tourist bikes definitely look crappy and they have those stupid annoying bells on them. A friend rented a decent road bike from them for a triathlon which is why I think they may have a few decent MTB's.

I can't really think of anywhere else that might rent. Maybe search for something in Fairfax. Tamarancho is there and very popular (and also very fun) so a local shop might have rentals.

If you end up riding Waterdog then also try to ride Corte Madera (park at Skegg's point on Skyline). My favorite XC trails and it's not that far from SFO either.

You're welcome to join me and a buddy on a road ride tomorrow as well. Paradise Loop:

I know, it's road, but it's awesome! San Francisco for road, North Vancouver for mountains.

I could do that, but I don't have any of my stuff. shoes/pedals, helmet etc…

What time? I have a call at 11am but nothing after that, and my flight is at 8pm.

I'll keep looking for a MTB, there's a shop in Fairfax.

yeah looks like you can take out the demo bikes.. I'll give them a call in the am, those trails you rode around there look pretty good, and they have some 29ers. :)

Hey, there is a place called Blazing Saddles that rents tourist/city bikes. If he's looking for something more high performance, I'm less certain, but could try Roaring Mouse bike shop, they're in the Presidio under the golden gate bridge, or try Pacific Bicycle.

Also try udctours.com for performance bikes.

that's all I got's for you connor.
