On the way to Harrison ?

I have to go to a corporate retreat in Harrison Hot Springs. In the past it's been at Whistler, this year the big-wigs have decided that we need a change of scenery.

Only way I have mentally survived in the past is with a healthy mix of mountain biking before the retreat starts (and during the free time) and copious amounts of alcohol.

I'm not fussed about finding the alcohol, but, I am about the right place to ride before the evening kick off dinner.

Trailforks shows a few places on the way to Harrison, the ones I have heard of are
- Woodlot
- Sumas
- Bear / Red

Suggestions on the best place to stop for a 1/2 day mtb'ing on may way to mind numbing team building dinners and exercises?

Thanks !

I just got back from a work conference in Banff, would have loved to have the bike with me , good on you for getting some bike time in.

All good choices, those are 3 mtn's I frequent the most these past 2 years.
Lately I'm liking the Bear or Red offerings. Bear has a great climb trail up ( Big Trouble, Little Chain Ring) and then Lorax, Bigguns and the Super DH jump trail.

Or Red if your leaning more to all mtn xc tech. Red or Bear and you can get some great mileage in 2-3 hours.

Feel free to PM me with a better idea of what type of riding your looking to do and I'll suggest a route.

Or just go and have fun.
Oh yah, Woodlot is still good times as well.

At Red, a loop we like to do is Mill pond, rod and gun by-pass,road to Crazy-8, to Hells Bells, to Valley View climb to Mastodon. Back along Dewdney Trunk to Mill pond.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the look of Red and Bear, Mastadon on Red looks like fun!

Gonna check those out.

If you are riding red, please avoid mastadon if it is wet. Unfortunately an increase in ridership this wet season has caused a lot of damage to the trail.
