24hr in Vancouver

Hi,

I will have a layover of 24hr in Vancouver this Wednesday if nothing wrecks my plans. I will land around 12h30PM and my hotel is near the airport. I assume getting my bags and checking inputs me roughly around 3pm to be free.

That does not leave my much time. Is it even reasonable to consider renting a bike (from Cove I presume) and reach a trail head (Burnaby Mountain?) in those conditions?

Thanks,
Sylvain

3pm in richmond … by the time you pick up a bike and get to the trails you're looking at close to 6pm likely. you would have to cross the whole city during rush hour.

if you really move you could probably make it happen, but it's a lot of driving and work for at most 3 hours of riding …

Thanks for the feedback. As I was writing my question I realized already it was very far fetched. I'll try to visit a bike shop at least. :)

If you have a rental car I'd say just chuck your crap in the car and head straight for the Shore from the airport (hotel will hold the res). You could probably be at the Cove, bike in hand by 3pm in this case.

If you don't have a car then, yeah, its probably a bit much for 1 day.
