World Cup coming up - Look At The Stats!!

Hello folks, it has been a while but finally the World Cup season is getting back into full swing. To whet the appetite I've taken a look back to last year's race at Val Di Sole to see if there are any pointers for this weekend. No Steve Smith at Val Di Sole last year unfortunately after his crash in quali so it will be interesting ot see how he goes…

There's even a handy little countdown clock! Pretty stoked for the feed, and all the videos to follow. World cup coverage has gotten pretty thorough in recent years, that's for darn sure.

Gwin looked to be in another league today. Where does he find the time? Steve Smith currently 5th overall in the standings.

Great coverage even though the speakers weren't working. Gwins run was impressive. Good result for Stevie with such a messed up hand. And congrats to Miranda. 12th I think.

It looked quite unreal right from the start - looked as if he was propelled forward by an invisible rocket thingy. His speed and his riding technique was kinda spooky to watch.

And it was interesting that Minnaar looked slow-ish, although he wasn't.

From what coverage I saw today, I didn't see anyplace obvious where Gwin made that much time up. I mean 1 or 2 seconds is one thing, but 8?!
