For spectators:

- Is the whole event on one day? I always thought the EWS events were all 2 day races…?

- On the last stage, do they send riders down in the correct order so that the person starting with the lowest (best) cumulative time would go down last (like in a DH race where the #1 qualifier goes last)?

Each location in the EWS sets their own program, one day, two day, three day…whatever they want.

For the Pro's they'll be seeded by their EMBA overall position.

The rest of us is alphabetical if I remember correct from last year. Maybe they'll use last years placings for seeding then go alphabetical for any new riders?

Is there much climbing in the timed stages?

Sustainable will be around forever.

Or go up Friday late afternoon and ride RDS and then ride Crazy Train Saturday am.

about how long is the rds climb (out of creekside)? was contemplating a friday lap as well (whether it's worth the effort).

It's been to long since I climbed up to Kashmir to know the length. I just recall a couple of ugly steep sections. From flip's description I think the worst steep is above where the cut into RDS is.

just checked some strava segments, 40 minutes is probably in the ballpark….and if we wanted to combine forces on a shuttle up to the top of kadenwood, which seems to be allowed this year, that would knock off 15-20 minutes…

My spot is up for grabs - but I'm not sure if it is even possible to transfer it over. Haven't messaged the organizers yet in case someone here is interested in taking my spot.

EDIT: Spot's gone

walked MC and CT tonight, MC is straightforward as I mentioned and the gnarly switch back corners at the end are not on the course, it splits over to the bottom of Hey Bud for the last couple hundred meters. CT looks freaking awesome, so much fresh bits of trail, it's going to be a blast to ride and overall isn't as tough as I expected, not a walk in the park by any means but overall way less scary than most people probably think it will be. Very excited to ride it!

Well I'll be preriding Friday and Saturday (anytime) if anybody wants to shuttle what we can. Was thinking of riding 1/2 twice in the morning, then hit 3 prob a couple times in the afternoon, then 4 a couple times Saturday. The comments on PB are suggesting 2300m of climbing but is that including stage 5?

2300m of climbing, not including stage 5, and stage 3 isn't really shuttleable, in any meaningful way….nor is 1/2. Stage 4 you can get to the top of Kadenwood, but you're still looking at a stiff 20-30 minute climb from there.

Usually you can't transfer spots but the guys at Cranksworx made an exception and my spot has been given to Ned.
