looks like last years results do follow what Flip and Shirk said though.

When I raced Finale last year I think it was only junior, open and master 40 over. Women only had an open class.

I think the rules you have quoted there are for official EWS points.

I recall you had to purchase an EMBA membership to collect points.

I would bet that the individual events can split up categories as they see fit. Notice how they say all men's categories will be combined into the scratch results.

hey come on I cut and pasted too….lol

I know my friend raced last year in the 30-39 cat and had some pretty big names included in his category. Looked for category info this year and all I found was the EWS rules.

I really should have the person who takes care of all this stuff for me also post in these threads too. She does a way better job of it. lol.

not the same, but good practice for EWS if you're in whistler this weekend, the final round of the S2S enduro series starts with Top of the World and finishes with Hey Bud.

Race book is out. Race start at 7:30 on Sunday (ugh). Any good (really) early morning breakfast joints in town?

Specified stage start times is new to me (makes sense given the scope / size of this type of event though). Guess no lollygagging on the liasons then.

Wildwood cafe in Function Junction. Amazing breakfast, large portions, enough fuel to keep you going deep into the afternoon.

Any you're right: no lolligaging on the liasons. I got gassed pretty good last year making one of the starts after getting a flat in the liason.

it wasn't too bad for the masters last year in terms of the liaisons, no, you can't dog it, but there was typically more than enough time to get to the start and chill out for a bit before your start time

Argh, really choked now that I missed the entry. Just by chance I even managed to get this week off work. Oh well, time to go find a nice cold lake to sit it.

It says on the website actually that entries aren't transferrable.

It says in the Race Book they'll be setting up Feed Zones at the bottom of several stages. Does that mean you have to go and stash stuff there beforehand, or will they have water and stuff there for you? Does anyone know? It isn't explained in the race book or the EWS rules.

well at first I thought I might be working, then I broke my hand and thought I wouldn't be able to ride….but tested it out today and it feels good to go. My spot will not be up for grabs….well not at the moment anyhow.

the EWS I did before(wasn't whistler) had food and water at the feed zones.
