Either him or Remi Thiron both seem very fast taking the 4[HTML_REMOVED]5 spot in qualies.

was really hoping for Smith but congrats to Thirion
and to the double mooners
What a race and what a track. I was literally glued to my chair. A speedy recorvery for Cameron Cole, a truly nasty crash and another reason to always wear a neck brace when riding a big bike.
Oh my, if this is going to continue like this, it is interesting for sure. Although Gee has one hell of an amount of points already.

WTF happened with the women's? 1st [HTML_REMOVED] 2nd are 10s over 3rd, 14s gap between 8th and 9th
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
What happened to the Canadian girls?
Also Mark Wallace?
Funding. That's what happened.

I concur … I went down sideways on a wet rock at the bike park a few weeks ago. My helmet hit my neck brace with so much force that the brace cut open the skin over my collarbone. Hate to think what that impact would have done to my neck if I wasn't wearing one. Always gonna wear one now.

I think a few of the girls were hurt(Miranda and Casey)
Wheeldrop called it.
Any word on Cole?
Came across this:
Just an update on Cam for everyone, he's hurt his T7 vertebrae and is feeling super beat up. He'll be in hospital for a night or few more but he said he's still waiting to see the specialist doctor before its all confirmed. Sounds like the doctor thought he was lucky so got to be glad it wasn't worse.
considering how ugly that crash was, I think he came out on the good end…..not that I wish a broken vertebrae on anyone
Sounds like Smith was maybe playing it safe. Thinking about his 2nd place overall standing in the points [HTML_REMOVED] wanted to make sure he made it down the hill in decent shape. Props to Thirion. Clearly the best rider on the day, taking lines no one else could/would.

It should be noted that Jack Iles qualified pretty well in junior. If he got an honest run in, I would think there will be a few juniors(jackson, geddes, hardwick who are all in around the same speed as Iles) who could get into a podium position come tomorrow. Lets hope its an awesome weekend for the Canadian racers.
