my first DH race in 5 years. i think my speed was still there but the racer edge wasn't. no excuses, just rusty.

great to see all the old, and new faces.

Thanks again the the Duxbury-Sleep clan, The sunshine coast cycling club, Scumb and the tireless support of this community at large. It is a wonderful place to live.

Looking forward to next year and another tasty looser beer.

But the whole event was a great time. Always love riding there whether racing or not. Props to the all the trail builders and race organizers.

Fyi, course was a couple seconds longer at the bottom this year, couple extra corners.

I nailed the same time as last year which was a bit of a surprise I must say…and bart got me by a fart!

First race in 7 years, posted a 3:21. Major props to all who helped put on the race and the general vibe. Except for that super douchebag who felt it necessary to pass us on the road up on Saturday, gold Nissan Pathfinder with a 32 sticker on the back window. We flipped him the bird and he proceeded to find us on DNA to tell us tht if we were from the city we could "F*#$%$K right off cuz this was his town". Other than that it was a great weekend.

There were definitely a few flashes going off. I really hope someone shares their pics; I was trying to add a touch of English to my airs to compensate for the fact that I was so fecking slow! :D

I hope to make the rest of the BC Cup season, unfortunately I've been busy the first 2 races this year.
