5000 down is the same weekend, FBC is end of Sept/early Oct.

This is one of the oddest races I've heard of, but in a good way. If you choose a bike that is a little too small you'll kill everyone at the top but get murdered down below. If you choose a full dh race bike it would be the opposite unless you're super fit. Then you can't hammer too hard off the start because you'll probably blow up due to the uphill and altitude. If you pin it too hard you will find it hard to have the juice for 17-18 laps.

Too funny.

I've just built the Reign and I'm doing laps on Monday to see which bike is faster and less tiring.

Easy tiger. You thinking of going Connor? I've got the time off work, and cleared to go.

Rumour has it there are only a few people signed up. I might be wrong but I doubt it will be going ahead unless they get like 75% of their entrants register this week.

I am signed up.
I also have heard a few different things about the sign up. Talked to Cheryl last week and she said they were really low on numbers then I heard they were going to go ahead regardless of the sign up.
If you find out any updates please let me know.
Thanks

Update:
Called Sun Peaks and they are going to decide tomorrow.

course really doesn't do anything to tickle my fancy….I've wanted to do another multi-hour enduro style event ever since huckfest, what was it, 5 years ago?

Its pretty nasty up there right now. The wood work is super sketchy and the muddy sections are barely rideable.
