What's the course like? Suitable for an aggressive 5 year old on 20 inch wheels?

If you're at all familiar, it's the BLT (Beginner Loop Trail). Mainly gravelly/dirt double-ish track. My son used to ride it on training wheels (although he'd sometimes get hung up). The main issue would be his comfort being in the trails and ability to follow the marked trails. I think this would be fine as long as he pre-rode with you.

See you out there!

Putting this back on top. Bring out your kid. It'll be fun!

Tomorrow is SORCE's Kids Toonie Race at South Surrey Bike Park. Why come out? Well today is Take a Kid Bike Day internationally. So do it! We'll have participation medals, Beast [HTML_REMOVED] Brine Local Provisions[HTML_REMOVED]#65279; world famous hotdogs and other prizes provided by O'Hagan's Peninsula Cycles[HTML_REMOVED]#65279;. 2 races, 1 lapper for participation, 2 lapper for racers. Course is the Beginner Loop Trail.

Signing up in advance would be great!

Is there going to be anything for kids under 6, like a run bike race?

Wow, you should have brought your kid to this race! It was so much fun.

33 kids rode/raced. Weather was beautiful. Every kid got an awesome medal. The 2 lap race was competitive and the kids raced hard. In the 1 lap race, some of the kids were so small they had 10" wheel bikes.

Everyone got a Beast n' Brine hotdogs, chips and drink. Lots of random prizes.

Watch out for a 2015 event!

I wanted to…but my question didn't get answered here or the couple of times I asked it on the SORCE FB page so we didn't bother. From the information that was posted, it seemed more like it was geared to older kids who could follow the trail on their own. It looked like a great time from the pics I saw on FB so hopefully it happens again next year.
