Crap! I'm having issues trying to decide what bike I should be riding for this. I've got an '02 RM Stratos or my Bullit. I'm thinking the Bullit will be too much for the in-between mountain riding, but that the Stratos won't be enough for the down the mountain riding.

What trails will we be hitting [HTML_REMOVED] what will everyone be riding?

I'm quitting organized crime; from now on I'll stick to the regular kind.

I also am having to decide, ether the Big Hit or the Cove Stiffy

If everyone rides big rigs then I will, I just dont to be holding everyone up.

Go light, the dowhill trails are rideable on any bike.

for a frame of reference I was thinking of taking my circa 1996 rigid stumpjumper with 1.5 slicks.

I'm planning on going light myself. Either P.3 with 1.9 tires and 4" fork, or if i get energetic swap all the parts over to my 01 enduro frame and use that. either way it'll be 30 lbs +/- and 4" of travel. I'll happily sacrifice a little speed on the decents for a bike that will pedal well on the climbs.

I say go light. I'll be doing it on my rm instinct. not exactly the most fun bike for the downhill parts, but can make it down in one piece. That way I won't be too bad on the climbs.

I need to soup up my hard tail then…rat buddie I need that brake..I also need a front whl disc compatible for a regular QR anybody…

I was going to ride the 4x and pull some moves in the dh ,, but total lonliness in the climb would be a drag.

i was thinking it might be worth a good prize if rode on alicia's little specialized. 20" wheels and about 1" of travel. oh… and 6 speeds! i figure it can't be that much different than a trials bike?
other plan is to borrow a couple. i've never climbed seymour/cypress and haven't ridden since last fall so i think it would be far from cheating to have one for going up and one for down.

ride a horse! 1200 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs…
but riding bikes is still fun!

I'll be on the HT with 2" of travel. Rat - bring the chariot, I'll drag some brews up the first mountain.

bunny - you can borrow my Brodie HT. You will owe me incredible amounts of money for the rest of your life, but we can discxuss this afterwards
