There was no race last year, I haven't heard of one planned for this year. There's a new bike shop owner in town and he's pretty keen but there's talk of doing more of a festival type event.

The mass start was a toonie race, I could see the new shop owner being into it, there's also a new coffee shop owner that's into bike events too so things could pick up. I might have something up my sleeve too. The snow is disappearing fast, spring cleaning was shoveled three weeks ago, mid may could be good, eevn up high!

I've been thinking about it, I've ridden my bike more than my board in the last six weeks. I'm dj'ing a reggae show next weekend, maybe the weekend of the 19th-ish. I'll let you know for sure!

Rossland was an amazing fun bc cup course but definately had some serious chairlift issues. I was under the impression that could have had something to do with it not being on the calendar anymore?

Red is a union mountain, hiring liftees, maintainence people for the day is expensive. As well the hill won't let organizers sell their own beer or food. I think the main reason it didn't happen again is the organizers just didn't want to do it. It's a small community and hard to get enough volunteers together.

I could understand that. And sometimes racers aren't the most understanding people and they didn't take kindly to the hour waits between runs.

I loved the Rossland course. Whoever could lay off the brakes the most probably won. Scary as hell at speed. No pedalling whatsoever. :D
