i mentioned this in the other thread so i'll say it here too, i'd really prefer to not see the super d run down c-buster.

Sounds like it's falling on deaf ears. Shame.

Look at the map with the marathon xc and super d on it. The super d trails are in grey.

We're not telling people the course until the morning to keep it interesting! But included trails will be able to take the traffic and be ridable by most all people.

Went out and rode some of the marathon course this evening. There is a wack of pink w/ black stripe flagging tape on old buck that I thought was for the course. As I was riding down the powerline trail I thought to myself "this can't be right".

sorry we didn't get all the course marked this weekend.

No worries…I knew it wasn't all marked when I rode it. I just made the dumb mistake of thinking "all this flagging tape must be for the race".

So many option trails and other users it is hard to mark a trail for pre-riding.
I was busted the other day marking the course using a copy of a map. A fellow rider jeered " YOU have to use a map? Don't you know your own course?"
Funny really- Good Point, I guess the only suggestion I can make is to take a map and don't go down the Powerlines.
( I needed the map for the Marshall locations )
See you there!

I like a technical climb better than a poodle path climb. Clockwide gives bigger advantage to mtn bikers over roadies

i rode out there yesterday (never been before). the reverse climb is pretty tech; (at least on the rigid bike i'm on). more walking than riding for me. seems odd to run it in this direction, only to be rewarded with a groomed gravel downhill.

The online registration seems to be closed now.

Does anybody know if I can register for the marathon before the prolog tonight?

Are the marathon XC results going to be posted at all? It would be great to find out the times people finished at.

That course was shite. Far too much hike-a-bike.
Won't be riding it next year if it remains the same.

Got to agree at least for us back of the packers. I'd love to see how the elites do it.
