Gonna be at Race the Ranch for the first time this year. Is there any campIng close by? I'll have my trailer and can bring my generator if needed.

Thx

It'll have two 1" cables on it and be locked to my trailer when its outside.

Is the parking lot big enough for RV's? That would be the ideal place to stay.

When will mtbers learn that a cable lock is not a lock at all.

High tensile chain, with a shielded padlock. More than one.

People love to put $50 locks on $5000 bikes.

Go and spend $200 on a proper chain and lock setup. Street bike locks are great, I saw one that was built like handcuffs and looked unbreakable.

LOCKS NEVER WEAR OUT!!!!!!

The same piece of chain will last the rest of your life, I have even seen people dip them in the rhino liner style stuff to save frames.

If you're in a high traffic area and your bike is outta sight it will get stolen. Remember that.

I have never had anything stolen because if I know I have to leave it out of sight I won't bother trying to leave it unattended. Even camping out in the boonies, our bikes go inside the vehicles.

There are some pretty crafty thieves in this town and they know when the race is, so don't lock it up outside. You'd be better off hitting up a camp ground outside the general area.

The Ranch just hired a new guy to replace me, so it will be interesting to see how the course changes.

Locks really only keep the honest people from stealing stuff. I treat most places like the village in Whistler. If I'm not watching it someone else is.

Thanks for the info.
