twinone always puts together a great course. a mix of classics and lesser ridden gems. it's not going to be an easy day but it will be good times.
Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.

All the more reason to sign up. A selection of the best trails with route signage, a bunch of cool people to ride with, mellow vibe, beer. If you have ridden the Shore/Whistler you will be fine. Plus you are supporting the trails. Everybody wins.
crap guess I am hooped I ride the Fraser Valley or Squamish LOL ,
how well will drops and such be marked gonna be hitting this event blind riding wise unless I can find footage to view of the trails involved

Just signed up. My experience riding Pemby consists of the 2014 Nimby….. So I'm going to be jumping in the deep end on race day….
Is last years course still online somewhere?
Here is last year's course:

I generally try to keep courses consistent in terms of difficulty and length from year to year. This means that nothing will be substantially more difficult than Rusty Trombone for this year's race. Similar to previous courses there will be stages that appeal to all levels of rider.
I do not go through and mark drops since I feel that part of enduro racing is the ability to ride well onsite. This event is a great opportunity to be shown some of Pemberton's best trails and meet other riders. There are some pics and video from last year's event on the FB page. If you dig around there is bound to be video of Rusty somewhere but I'm not about to put "Rusty Trombone" into my browser to find it.
Course details for this year will be announced at the PORCA trail day on April 23rd and later that day via the FB page. Pemberton trails may have a gnarly reputation but in general it is old school tech that requires finesse at lower speeds. Plus, walking short sections is always an option. Ride within your limits and you will be fine. Don't be intimidated.
Mark your calendar. April 30th. This year all profits will go to the resurrected PORCA. More details as they emerge. I will post here but the Pemberton Enduro FB feed is the best place for info.
So, is Porca the new old name for PVTA?

Oh snap, that's a long link. PORCA is the valley's new cycling association. PVTA remains intact.

18 spots left. Don't miss out.
Does anyone have an idea of the overall distances and elevation gains for this race?
I haven't set the course yet, so I don't have a good idea. Ballpark last year was 1150 meters of climbing and approximately 35k of pedaling. A complete ballpark of this years via Google Earth pegs the elevation gain at about the same for this year. Perhaps a little less distance. Only two spots left!

Hmmm, my stats for last year were 38k and 1800m but then again that was off a phone so not the most reliable.
I happily defer to your phone over my random Google Earth attempt. Course should be close to last year's for elevation but maybe a little shorter for distance. Will post when I get out and ride.
Damn. Missed the reg. any late spots opening up? Need vollies?
PM me and I will add you to my informal standby list. Can definitely use vollies. Plan to be here either way.
any updates ??
