Haven't checked yet, but I hope they don't conflict with any BC Cup races.

Really? Who Cares? After 20 years of supporting mostly sub par races I am glad to have a good series. I think cycling bc should take a year off and go to all the NWcups and see how it is done.
only 35 but still beat the 30-39 BC cup Champion 4 out of 6 races
Well the reason I hope they dont conflict is because I would choose the NW Cup to go to.
It's actually pretty wild how good the NW Cup series is.
The only races that conflict is kicking horse and the first Stevens pass race. I would pick Stevens pass over kicking horse any day of the week, hands down a better course.

Well…that answers my question before I had a chance to ask it!!
(And I read your post in the Mr.T voice and made sure to add my own "I pity da fool!!!)

Three events and years worth a work as well as thousands of dollars on the line torn down in one sentence. Don't like the DH BC Cups - get involved and make them better….
BC Cups were actually better when Johnie P was on the scene…..true story.
Honestly i like the layout of that series; pick a venue that has a good course, and use it more than once.
No need to bounce all over BC just because someone wants a race event - honestly SE Racing you know that your 'BC cups' are as much AB cups as anything.
PA actually has a different course for ever race. They also have a pro/cat 1 course and a cat 2/3 course. When you are practicing, only your cat is on the course. You get 4-5 hours of practice and then you're done for the day. Easy to get 6 or even 8 runs in that time frame. Allows you to drink and heckle the pros for the afternoon if you're cat 1. They also usually have the event run for 3 days, although the Pro GRT runs for 4. Pros also getting seeding runs at the end of Sat which is awesome to watch.
Do they have a "Not just a noob, a REAL noob" classes?

A custom build from the good guys @ North Shore Bike Shop
the Cat 2/3 courses they have are really easy. When you practice, you'll only have people with roughly the same skill level as you out on the course…so you won't feel the pressure of screwing someone up that is really fast. I believe the Cat 2/3 course has some machine built trail on it and it's pretty fun and flowy.
I can't speak for Hood and Stevens, although they should have 2 different course for each weekend.
At PA, all the course have the same start and finish but they have tons of options in between. Such a cool set up.
does Cat I require a UCI license?
yes and make sure your licence says "expert"

I don't race DH, we were at Mt Hood skibowl(Government Camp) for the finals in 2011 the bike park was fun. We got to ride the course it was pretty challenging with some interesting lines. We camped right in the parking lot. The event was very well organized seemed like a very tight group. The big draw for me would be beer at less than half price.
