Cool. I'd love to come out to one of these.
Definitely should promo this a bit better - I was trying to find info on these the other week and not even a mention on the NSMBA page…

Is the first one still on for next week?
475+ showed up at the last worca twoonie….
110 were at vedder on Sunday for the FVMBA race…. On the same weekend as a BC Cup
We can't even get a confirmation on whether this is happening less than a week before it's supposed to?
Yeah is it still happening? I was hoping to slip away from the shop for a bit next Thursday and come to it.
good effort, Brian, lots of work and sometimes thankless task!
First course:
Liaison Stage - Climb to 5th switchback, untimed
Special Stage - Kirkford, Crinkum, Crankum, Cedar, timed
Liaison Stage - Cedar to Upper Griffon, untimed (this is really short)
Special Stage - Upper Griffon, Lower Griffon, King of the Shore (first two switchbacks very small climb), timed
Liaison Stage - King of the Shore, Mountain Hwy to Floppy Bunny, untimed
Special Stage - Floppy Bunny, timed
Each weeks course will be posted after the previous weeks race.
I'll be marking the courses on Tuesday nights before the Thursday races. Caution tape will mark the stage starts and stops.
I just received the SportIdent timing system yesterday. It's a slick system, we'll be able to have almost live finish timing posted directly to the website so you can check your results and placing on your smartphone.
Wow, that's a lot of before / after dinner riding!

will there be any timed climbs this year?

Looks like a lot, but really once your done the climb to Kirkford it's minimal.

There will not be any major timed climbing this year.
Some of the special stages that are planned have bits of timed climbing, but it's less than 20%.
Looks good Shirk. I'll see you there.
Bye the way, where's the winning number for that seatpost?
TEAM CRAFTY
Brian, a couple of clarification questions for those who may not be able to pre-ride again.
Stage 1:
Beginning off the skidder climb or from the Leppard entrance a few metres up?
Krinkum: original ladder bridges or new bench reroute?
Turn right to enter Kirkford on new bench or turn left to enter old chunder?
Where will this segment end? At the bridge?
Stage 2:
There appear to be three options for turning right from LG to KOTS. The easiest line is a braid across some roots; the next is before the sign post, and the third after the sign post. Which one?
And then, ending that segment at the second switchback which is a right hander?
Stage 3:
Assuming we are riding the new exit on Floppy?
