Hey all,

Got a few questions about the upcoming North Shore Bike Fest marathon XC. I've looked on the website, but there's still a few things I'm wondering about:

- are there any aid stations on the course?

- are there any good spots for a support crew to view the course?

- what is the participation capped at? couple hundred riders?

- what sort of time are the super-fast elite riders expected to ride the course in?

I was planning to register this evening and was hoping to have these questions answered in an email after registering. No dice, since online reg is now closed. Guess I'll have to reg on Friday night or Sat morning.

Reg in person is somewhere down at Interriver park? So many questions left unanswered on the site.

Hey Rex,
There will be an aid station at Old Buck/Bridle and under the powerlines at the Neds turnoff.
Support crew… top of Old Buck? Access from BP parking lot on Seymour Parkway? Check out the map:

Pm me with specific questions I can answer.

Capped at 200

Fast guys should be able to do it in 2hrs. Maybe slower this weekend cause its kinda wet!

Online reg is over now so the start list can be compiled, plate numbers assigned. Register at Inter River Bike park.

see you there!

Great event today. Thanks James and all the volunteers for a great race. Typical James with the backwards Lemans start.

It's all about fun.

Thanks for putting on an awesome race… It was definitely gruelling!!

Less than half the length of the Test but I actually feel more beat up :-)

Looking forward to doing it all again next year.

nvrmnd, got it.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

wow, heard about the backwards running start.
some of the elite riders were not impressed, to say the least.

lol, yeah i had a laugh at that. i just stood there by my bike and watched everybody run by and then just waited around for the crowd to come back to the bikes before i took off.

Is there a site around with listings of all local xc races? I would love to in the near future enter a beginners race but I cant seem to find one.
