Who's in?
After nearly puking and somehow finishing the course, I thought registering for this years event was a super idea. Let's see how it goes!

is it too early to call out flip for riding a 29'er with a 1X drive train. bet you he beats me by half an hour. or blows up. could go either way.
Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.

you could call me out, but I'm not even signed up yet! weather looks way less oppressive than last year…..I'm playing the last minute game this year, new strategy, no pre-rides or specific training…let's see how it plays out for him, Cotton
After wondering for years I'm thinking it's time to pull the trigger and just do it. Not in the best shape and riding the course blind on way too big a bike but it should be fun to just try and survive. Got some good tips on strategy so we'll see how it goes…
I am of the same ilk, Flip. Weather does look much more inviting than the 26 degrees or whatever it was last year.
No pre rides for me, I shudder at the thought of smelling a glove.
Haven't found the time for long rides this year and I got a kid cold to top it off. Iâm sure Iâll pay in spades. But, damn, I can't stop smiling at the weather report:-)
Did a lap on Monday. Trails weren't anywhere near as blown out as I expected. Some trailwork has made a climb or two easier by the lake.
You can basically ride it on a cross bike these days.

people train for the nimby, weird. remember when the nimby was early season. the last couple years it has felt like mid season.
I have very few bigger rides in this year, the nimby is just training for the fun rides later in the year.
Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.
How reliable are the feed zones? Can I assume there'll be water at the top of nimby and fill a bottle or two? Don't think I'll be there early enough to send bottles up with the truck and I'd really like to avoid wearing a pack.

I decided I'm in, if I'm going to break platinum, this is the year….I've never really relied on feed zones for food, but I have sent bottles up, we'll chat more, maybe I can send one up for you with mine…without the heat this year I should be able to make it work packless, it almost worked last year
what are numbers looking like this year?

isn't the NIMBY training for big f'n loop?
How much rain is coming down up there right now? I am trying to make a decision on tire choice. I am running a semi slick rear tire at the moment, but I'm worried that it will get packed up really quickly.
I also am curious as to what tires people are running. Right now I have Ikon's front and rear
