Let's be honest. Sam Hill signed on because it is the big S. More R[HTML_REMOVED]D, more planning and more money. I am sure that he will win on the Demo but guaranteed it is not his first choice in a ride. Big picture says Sam's overall life gets a bit better riding for Specialized.

very true. rep added.

The real question is… will 450's be killed off for a 350 class?

My YZ250 bushed out is enough for me in my hare scramble career, but I'd trade it for a 350 four stroke in a heartbeat.

there are many supporters of the 350 movement. Shoulda been a 180f and 350f.

I tried a 250f with a 280 kit and that is the dream bike.

Although for woods and scrambles its tough to beat a YZ250. only thing is you gotta be in serious shape to hang it out for long races.

What year is your YZ250?

A little unrelated, but I don't remember the landing off the gap at Psychosis being so harsh, felt like butter when I was hitting it, I'm kinda surprised seeing those bikes bottomed out like that.

felt super smoooth on that hit as far as i can remember… i was surprised when i saw that picture of my landing in the pinkbike article.

the landing isn't as steep as it could be for an air that size i suppose, but at least i know im using all my shonks

I have tried quite a few big travel bikes over the years but the last 2 I have been riding a Glory DH. When it came out in 06 although the shock through the frame was beef cake, I knew it was a sick design and the bike just looked like it would work good. For me I have found nothing that corners like a Glory on trails. It has super low cetre of gravity, the shock, pivots, alot of the frame weight is all super low. The bike also has way better standover than it looks once you get on it theres is alot of room for your knees and legs. But I totally agree with JW, geometry, weight, suspension design functionality is key. The Shocker to me seems like a real similar design, but the one thing it may have over the Glory is wheelbase. The glory dh's wheelbase I believe is a little short for a full on ideal racer. On high speed steeper terrain the Glory gets a little sketch if you are not really focussed on keeping your weight very far back on the bike. Where as some other longer slacker designs are more designed for speed and steepness.
This all being said the "ideal" frameset in my eyes right now would be the '09 or'10 (release???) Turner DHR dw-link. This thing has a pedal efficient design similar to maestro, crazy low looking centre of gravity, long and slack, and turner craftsmanship and race heritage. So ya it looks like it has alot.

Hey Cory

You better get a V-10 like mine or I will be hearing you say you picked the wrong bike while you're standing on the second podium step!
