Late 80's / early 90's race event called The Mountain Bike Championship of the Universe

A few of us are putting together a presentation called a PechaKucha (like a Ted Talk, but longer, with more fun + beer, in a brewery) about a late 80's / early 90's race event called The Mountain Bike Championship of the Universe, held at Apex Resort, near Penticton.

We're looking for pictures (scans), movies (digitized, or we can offer that as a free service / your originals returned), newspaper clippings, posters, t-shirts etc. - any memorabilia from The Mountain Bike Championship of the Universe.

i did that race back in '92. if it's the one i'm thinking of, the cross country was a cold, rainy sufferfest - single digit temp, sleeting at the upper elevation. i was way underdressed, each lap looking forward to the climb to try to generate a modicum of warmth in my frozen hands & near hypothermic body. the other race events that weekend had better weather, fortunately. used to have a shirt, but was purged long ago, alas.
