Ah well, it would have been cool to do this one, but we have lots of other great races on the calendar on awesome trails.

Also, I'm still 29 but would have had to sign up for 30-39 based on year of birth, which would have been a tough pill to swallow. At least I don't need to face that reality yet.

Does anyone know if they're transferable?

Got in.

That white screen was stressful, just kept hitting F5 on the work PC and ctl-R on the laptop.

Got the Eventbrite link via the PC and hit the drop down and register.

They changed up the age categories this year. In the mad dash scramble I just hit Masters, will need to get moved into the proper age category.

I'm 30-39 Amateur. Should be a stacked field.

Let me add that $120cad is a rip off. That's almost two BC / S2S enduro races.

Yes the age brackets make that 30-39 a stacked field.

Going to be hard to crack that top 20.

Euros? Try 63gbp. That's someone setting the price in the UK, not realizing that normal race entries in NA is roughly the same, but in USD or CAD. Also throw in the fact that you have to purchase 2 days of lift tickets if you want to practice and race, $45 or $50 IIRC from 2 years ago.

Also, cancelation fee is 20gpb, or $38.

This solidifies the fact that the BC and S2S series, as well as the WORCA event like 4K are amazing value considering the prizes for the common racer, as well as the food and beverages provided.

We need another 4K!

Just read the comments on the EWS facebook page.

Looks like there was only about 150 spots open to the general public. 300 spots total for the event.

I wonder how much it would cost to enter a trade team just to get access to early registration?

Never mind it's 1900 euro and it only holds 4 spots.

One way to secure a spot for 2016.

top 3 Juniors and top 3 Masters from each of the eight 2014 EWS rounds

Not really a rip off if it sells out instantly?

It's not selling out because it's good value, it's selling out because of the limited supply.

Looks like team brobot mentions something about this topic. Time to go kill myself.

It is a lot, but I think they can charge that since it's the race of the year in North America, not too crazy price for a top level kinda race. It sucks and I don't like it either, but I understand. I think the local races are just that much better a deal. For me work is pretty crazy during crankworx and would be in the back of the pack so didn't even consider doing it lol

It's a lot, but I was just pissed they didn't mention it anywhere ahead of time….50% increase in price is pretty steep, but nice to know what I'm getting myself in for ahead of time.
