BC Cup Provincial Championships

Whistler Blackcomb welcomes Cycling BC Championship participants June 27th and 28th.

Cross Country Mountain Biking is back on the calendar and will part of the BC Premier XC series. The series will start April 18 with the return of Junkyard Dog in Surrey and will include stops at the Sunshine Coaster, North Vancouver MEC Bike Festival and finish in Whistler on June 28 as part of the BC XC Championships.

Downhill BC Cup is back and will again take BCs top racers to venues throughout the province. The series will kick-off with the Kamloops based Race the Ranch April 11 and 12 and will continue through the season with stops in Whistler, Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Panorama, Kicking Horse with the final to be held in Fernie on August 30. Is there a race for citizen cat too or only full license?

We have been given the ok to run the event without citizen classes while still offering 1 day race licensing. You can choose the category appropriate for you age or race in Elite if you wish. However, you will have to pay the 1 day license fee of $5 (for U16) or $10 (for 16+) or $12 (for out of country). this you can do at registration/plate pick up. When you are registering for the race online just put 000 as your Cycling BC license #. Hope that helps.

Damn I thought the XC was on Sunday.

I looked at the registration page but didn't see length of race. Does anyone know the number of laps for the XC, Masters 30-39?

Hi Ben. You have to race for about an hour and a half. Once the Commissaries get here they will tell us how many laps you do. The course length is 4.6km.

Kovarik won, saw that on Instagram, but haven't seen full results posted anywhere.
