Prepare for slick snotty mud.

I rode there today in light rain. The top is SNOTTY and the lower section is smooth and dialed but will likely get slick when the hordes of riders tear up the course.

are spikes appropriate if it's mucky? or is it too rocky?

I've got some I want to try out…

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

Roots and snot. If spikes are good for that then mount them up and giver a go. I'm mounting up a new 3C DHF for the race. The bottom section is super fast even in the wet. I am really looking forward to this race.

I just stepped on a spider. Rain=FUN

I'm hoping my run doesn't cost me a new frame this year! Doh! I have also vowed not to stop and talk to race marshalls in my race run this year ;)

I think you'd struggle on spikes. Maybe if you had some really cut down Wet Screams they'd work well. 3C High Rollers were working well for me in the rain yesterday.

ARDUUM!!!

Tim Coleman looking very fawst!

I've ridden and taken photos at that course since near the beginning, but I've never seen the amount of pure carnage as I did today. Know your limits people, you can't race with broken bones.

yeah… there was some wreckage for sure… I saw probably 10 people in the aid tent at the bottom throughout the day. The rock drop was super greasy and people that have never ridden it are having troubles.. (like myself.)
