Thanks Andrew.

You and Ilana also deserve recognition on reviving the Toonies a couple years before I took over.

I am looking forward to some personal riding now….oh and organizing the Fiver World Champs for sometime in October. :)

I was looking forward to destroying everyone on my Super 8….but alas couldn't even find the sign-on area!
But the main point of the post was to give a shout out to the super helpful marshall at the Powerlines / Mushroom intersection who not only managed to not laugh at my stupidity but gave me detailed directions to the park ready for next time ha ha….

Any discussion about a Halloween Fiver (weekend daytime race)?

I had to miss last years one due to injury, but would love to see it revived.

Proposal - $5 if wearing a costume, $10 without.

Wreckers or Checkers, the Fiver World Champs will be October 22nd. One day for glory to be crowned the Fiver World Champ. Get to wear the coveted stripes for a whole year.

It will be three stages on Fromme. Expect it to be a bit longer than our usual length of stages but not an all day affair.

Sorry to share that the Fiver World Champs will be cancelled.

Due to the recent rains and the forecast this week the trails would be excessively impacted by the event. I hiked some of the course on Fromme yesterday late afternoon and it's very saturated.

These are fun but they shouldn't create unnecessary trail impact.

Already planning the 2017 series, I'll be adding a "World Champs" into the mix again but will try for late September to hopefully avoid too much rain.

I'm back.

I just turned 67 and I decided I have to get back into semi-competitive rides.

Do the fiver races still happen?

Last time I did one, it was a Toonie.

That's a good non-answer.
